When to use this

  • Preparing a square Instagram image
  • Creating a 1200×630 Open Graph / link preview image
  • Downscaling a huge photo before upload

Presets included

Instagram square 1080×1080, LinkedIn photo 400×400, Open Graph 1200×630, Story 1080×1920. You can also type custom width/height and lock aspect ratio.

Common mistakes

  • Upscaling a tiny image and expecting photographic detail to appear
  • Unlocking aspect ratio and accidentally squashing faces
  • Exporting a huge dimension when the platform will recompress anyway

How it works

The image is drawn to a canvas at your target width and height and exported as a JPG. Aspect-ratio lock adjusts height when width changes based on the original proportions.

How to use

  1. Upload an image.
  2. Pick a preset or enter width/height.
  3. Download the resized JPG.

FAQ

Can I keep the original aspect ratio?

Yes—enable Keep aspect ratio and change the width; height updates automatically.

What output format do I get?

Resized downloads are JPG for broad compatibility.

Will this crop to a focal point?

Not in this version—it scales the full image to the box you set (which can stretch if ratio lock is off).

Are files uploaded?

No—resizing is local.
